CAUTIONARY NOTE: The high natural niacin content of bee pollen as well as pure niacin working synergistically with the other herbs, may cause a temporary flushing and redness that lasts about twenty minutes. This beneficial and harmless flush actually releases stored histamines within the body, and is perceived by many as a burst of energy. This flush is noticeably reduced if only one capsule is consumed, or if taken immediately after eating. Taking SUPERCHARGE – Il™ on an empty stomach will tend to accentuate the flush and is generally not recommended.
SUPERCHARGE – Il™ contains Bee Pollen, Hawthorne Berry, Papaya Fruit, Jamaican Ginger, Choline Bitartrate, Chinese Ginseng, Niacin, Cayenne and Peppermint Essential Oil. Now, let's look at these ingredients in detail!
BEE POLLEN (polen grandular) is the sticky powder in flowers gathered by honeybees for their protein and nutritional needs. Bee pollen contains more concentrated nutrients than any other food on the earth. It is a rich depository of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, natural sugars, enzymes, co-enzymes, rutin, pigments, hormones, antibiotics, growth factors, blood builders and lipotropics (fat dissolvers). A nutrient profile of pollen reads like an extremely potent multiple nutrient supplement, especially rich in niacin and other energy producing B vitamins. In fact, analysis of pollen shows well over 100 different nutrients, including several enzymes and co-enzymes, as well as other ingredients still unclassified. Bee pollen is such a storehouse of nutrients that it should not come as a surprise that many athletes consume it. It is also believed that many of the worlds oldest individuals are beekeepers and frequently consume the left over pollen rich honey from their hives. Unlike the light anemophilous pollens which are carried by the winds and to which many people are allergic, bees basically gather the sticky entomophilous pollens from bright flowers. Although most people are not allergic to bee pollen, a few may be. If a bee pollen allergy is suspected, ask your physician to test for an allergic reaction before taking this product. Again, most allergists and internists report that it is normally not bee pollen, but tree and ragweed pollens carried by the wind to which people are allergic. In fact, some physicians use local bee pollen in the treatment of allergies.
HAWTHORNE BERRY (Crataegus oxyacanthus), a member of the rose family, contains saponins, glycosides, flavonoids, plant acids and vitamin C. It was historically classi Partfied as a vasodilator and was used to control blood pressure, as well as dissolve deposits in hardened arteries. The Europeans thought it useful for heart problems and weakness, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, irregular heartbeat, etc.
PAPAYA FRUIT (Carica papaya) contains the natural enzyme papain said to aid in the digestion of protein, much in the same way as stomach pepsin. However, the ripe papaya fruit used in SUPERCHARGE II TM is rich in natural sugars and vitamins and is useful in the production of energy.
JAMAICAN GINGER (Zingiber officinale) was considered the best species of ginger and historically classified as a carminative (relieved gas), diaphoretic (opens pores) and anti-spasmodic (relieves cramps). It was included in cleansing combinations as a carrier for herbs going into the urinary, reproductive and abdominal area.
CHOLINE BITATRATE is a nutrient loosely classified by many nutritionists as a member of the vitamin B-complex family. Choline is considered a useful lipotropic agent. That means it is capable of preventing fat buildup or removing already present fat buildup within the body, especially in the liver, blood vessels and gall bladder. Choline also forms a protective coating around the nerves. It helps form a nerve messenger chemical, acetylcholine. This nutrient is essential for learning, memory and a healthy nervous system.
CHINESE GINSENG (Panax schin-seng) is one of the best and most expensive members of the ginseng family. It is not to be confused with cheaper Siberian ginseng (Eleuthrococcus senticosus). Traditionally, Chinese medicine classified panax ginseng as a tonic, stimulant, diuretic and carminative (relieves gas). It is also believed to reduce blood sugar levels and to act favorably on human metabolism and the function of the endocrine glands. It was favored by traditional Chinese herbalists for aiding the reproductive organs, especially where sexual inadequacy was present and the nervous system was weakened. Ginseng may possibly work through the adrenal cortex of the pituitary gland in a manner characteristic of the natural steroids.
NIACIN or nicotinic acid is the most active form of Vitamin B3. Niacin has the beneficial ability to widen the blood vessels and lower blood cholesterol levels. Niacin forms one of the most important parts of our energy production systems, NADP and NAD. It has been called the courage vitamin and is necessary for a healthy digestive system, healthy skin and healthy nervous system. It is essential in the prevention of the deadly vitamin deficiency disease, pellagra.
Niacin is also used to treat certain severe forms of mental illness. It reportedly has the capability of helping dieters and those with low blood sugar. It is believed to stabilize their blood sugar levels, to help them obtain a sense of well being and maintain better appetite control. Some researchers feel that nicotinic acid niacin tends to have anti-depressive properties, unlike niacinamide, another common form of vitamin B3.
CAYENNE (Capsicum frutescens) is considered the most powerful and dependable of the stimulant herbs. It was traditionally used to increase circulation of the extremities and to help tone the digestive organs. It was also historically used to prevent cramps and intestinal gas. It is believed to have antiseptic properties.
PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL (Mentha piperita) is an effective nerve stimulant. The oil brings oxygen into the blood stream and thus tends to strengthen the whole body. It also serves as a calming influence to the stomach by aiding digestion. It is recognized for its ability to strengthen the heart muscles.
